Development of Hinge Moment Balance Used in High Speed Wind Tunnel

The hinge moment dynamometer test was one of the primary wind tunnel test project, and as the dynamometry core, hinge moment balance was restricted severely by model appearance, and its structure was not uniform. There were many difficulties in high speed temporary impact wind tunnel, such as big impact load and large gradient of balance temperature distribution, etc. It was very difficult to realize precision measurement. To solve this problem, High Speed Aerodynamics Institute of China Aerodynamics Research and Development Center(HSAI-CARDC) relied on its wind tunnel hardware and talent advantages to carry out the hinge moment balance research of several projects. A series of hinge moment balance with unique structure had been developed after years of research and development, and basically met the needs of the hinge moment of all types of aircraft in high-speed wind tunnel.
