Research on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Fuel-air-explosive Cluster Munitions Separation in Supersonic Flow Field

In order to study the separation process and aerodynamic interference characteristics of the fuel-air-explosive cluster munitions in supersonic flow, a list of different separation conditions of separation process was simulated numerically through coupling solving N-S equations, rigid body dynamic equations and kinematic equations. The influence of multi-body flow field disturbances, separating schemes and actuator have been discussed in detail. The results show that the cavity flow of the dispenser has a significant effect on attitude changes of sub-munition at the start of the separation. The sooner the wings open, the better the sub-munition's angular velocity was suppressed, the separation safety can also be improved.
