Impact Analysis of Armor Piercing Power of EFP on Operational Efficiency of Terminal Sensitive Projectile

In order to reasonably put forward the technical index of armor-piercing power of EFP, this paper first analyzed the structure size and top armor characteristics of typical main battle tanks at home and abroad, a model of the damage area on the top of the main battle tank divided by function and armor thickness was established, and then the Monte Carlo method was used to simulate the firing process of the terminal sensitive projectile. The probability of the target area hit by the terminal sensitive projectile was counted. Finally, the influence of penetration power of EFP on the operational effectiveness of terminal-sensitive projectile was analyzed. The results show that EFP penetration depth has little influence on the operational effectiveness of terminal-sensitive projectile when the penetration depth varies from 80 mm to 130 mm.
