A Magnetic Declination and Magnetic Inclination Calculate Method Based on Measured Value of Magnetic Sensor

Abstract

Based on the definition of magnetic declination and magnetic inclination, a magnetic declination and magnetic inclination calculate method proposed, the method does not require pre-calibration of the magnetic sensor. The calculation process is deduced, the experimental steps are described in detail. Selected a test area, use the to method calculate magnetic declination and magnetic inclination. Compare the results with traditional using geomagnetic field model methods. The results indicate that this method’s principle is clear, it’s accuracy is better than the traditional methods in the strong magnetic anomaly area.
