Abstract

The formation process of conical shaped charge jet was calculated using Lagrangian explicit dynamic finite element method. The symmetrical penalty method was adopted for the contact between the shaped charge and the conical liner, and the h-adaptive method was adopted to prevent the extremely distorted mesh. The effects of the liner's thickness, the liner's cone angle and ignition mode on the performance of conical shaped charge jet were studied, and the change laws for the jet shape and jet velocity were obtained, which can provide reference for the optimization design of conical shaped jet.
