Target Selection Method Based on Optimal Selection Point

Abstract

A target selection method based on optimal selection point for anti-ship missile was presented by Korean researchers. However, this new method had been ignored by other researchers at home and abroad. The principle, implementation procedure, and characteristic of this new method were studied in this paper, and it was compared with the traditional target selection method based on self-guidance dis-tance. The studies in this paper show that like the traditional method, the new method is influenced by launching error of the missile, how-ever, its probability of selecting the designated target is higher than the traditional method.
