Abstract

Based on physical processes and variation principle of mutual inductance between flying plate and transmitter coil in the process of electromagnetic launch, the electromagnetic flying plate's motion model in the launch phase was established. Based on this model, the electromagnetic flying plate's motion characteristic law was studied, and the transmitter coil's structure was optimized. The results show that the transmitter coil parameters have obvious impact on the velocity of flying plate, the inductance in the loop is reduced, and the mutual inductance is improved so as to improve the speed of flying plate, the flying plate shows linear acceleration. The research result will be widely applied to military and aerospace.
