Abstract

This paper studies the performance of shell thickness to hollow annular shaped energy warheads.The LS-DYNA software is used to study the influence of different thickness and materials to the annular shaped charge jet.Based on detonation wave propagation theory, the influence of the thickness of the cases and material on the forming mechanism of the annular jet is well explained. The inner cases material of the shaped charge is tungsten, while the wall thickness ratio of the inner cases is 1.2, the annular shaped charge jet combines the opening and the invading power.
