The Application of Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control in Certain Launcher Servo System

The fuzzy sliding mode variable structure controller (FSMC) was designed for the control of certain launcher servo system under complex operational environment. Fuzzy control was applied to adjust the switching gain of sliding mode controller online while compensating the servo system's uncertainties. The simulation results show that the designed FSMC has high robustness to the servo system's parameter uncertainties and external disturbances. The system performance has been improved and the sliding mode controller's chattering problem has also been significantly inhibited.
