Research on Calculation Method of Axial Residual Velocity of PELE for Composite Structures

In order to study the calculation method of axial residual velocity of PELE with multi-layer nested structure, the theoretical calculation method of axial residual velocity is obtained by analyzing penetration process and shock wave propagation process, combining energy conservation law and one-dimensional plane shock wave theory, etc. The projectiles with different core combinations at different speeds are numerically simulated and the phase is obtained.The residual velocities of numerical simulation and theoretical calculation under the same calculation conditions are verified by experiments in literatures.The results show that the theoretical calculation results are in good agreement with the numerical simulation results and the experimental results in literature. It can be used to calculate the axial residual velocity of PELE for composite structures.
