Abstract

In this paper, aiming at the point-like targets detection problem in a partially homogeneous Gaussian clutter environment, a detection method with spillover of target energy based on a symmetrically-spaced linear array is developed relying on the modified two-step generalized likelihood ratio test (two-step GLRT) criterion.Through the combination of the spillover of target energy and the persymmetric property of interference covariance matrix, this method can effectively reduce the computational complexity and the requirement of auxiliary data. Simulation results show that this algorithm guarantees superior detection performance and target range estimation accuracy with respect to its competitors in auxiliary samples starved environment.
