The Research on Signal Extraction Algorithm of Free-drive Tri-axial MEMS Gyroscope used in Spinning Projectiles

The output signal of free-drive triaxial MEMS gyroscope used in spinning projectiles contains rolling, yawing and pitching angular rates. It is necessary to analyze the output signal for the extraction of the three angular rates. To solve this problem, a cor-responding mathematical model was established based on the structural principle of the gyroscope and the output signal of the gyro-scope was analyzed. By analyzing the signal, the signal extraction algorithm based on FFT transform was introduced and simulated with MATLAB. The results show that the algorithm can extract rolling, yawing and pitching angular rates of the gyroscope.
