Strength Simulation Study of Metallic Jet Effected by Technical Errors

In order to study the effects of technical errors on metallic jet, the process of penetrating target and jet formation has been numerically simulated with LS-DYNA dynamic finite element procedure. Three types of technical defects have been analyzed within the scope of the work as different axes between charge and liner, different axes between inside and outside of liner and off-center initiation of the explosive charge. The results show that: All three types of technical errors will cause the liner collapsed asymmetrically and reduce its penetrating capability.
