Abstract

An analysis of factors influencing the angle measurement performance on guidance radar can provide strong technical guidance on radar performance evaluation, design and development, technical improvement. In this paper, the specific background of factors affecting the radar angle measurement was studied systemically and comprehensively, and the factors were summarized as internal, external, middle levels. The influences of target, clutter and guidance radar platform motion factors on angle measurement performance were analyzed, and the conclusion was reached as follow: the radial acceleration can be ignored under the usual guidance radar system parameters; Target RCS fluctuation has little effect on performance, the range bin of strong multi-scattering center impacts on performance greatly; The stronger reflectivity, the larger the clutter's reflection ratio, amplitude fluctuation and correlation are, the greater the influence on performance is. The simulation results validate the correctness of the conclusion.
