The Numerical Simulation of Gun Muzzle Flow Field with a New Muzzle Attachment

To research the influence of a new muzzle attachment in muzzle flow field when gun launch, the computational fluid dynamics and dynamic mesh techniques and two-dimensional unsteady viscous compressible N-S equations were used to simulate in muzzle flow field. The shock structure conformation and development of the process in the muzzle flow field were analyzed when the device is available / unavailable. The results show that the influence by muzzle flow field on the state motion of the projectile is little, and the blast impact of this muzzle attachment on the environment and personnel meets the requirements
