Influence and Analysis of the Shape of Pressure Measuring Device onShock Wave Test Characteristics

Pen, rod and disc are three different shapes of pressure measuring device used in current shock wave overpressure test, and different shapes have different effects on shock wave test characteristics. For this, the paper uses the software Fluent to simulate the gas flow field in the shock tube with the three shapes: pen, rod and disc to study the influence on shock wave test characteristics. The simulation results are verified by the relevant shock wave overpressure test. It is concluded that the test results are consistent with the simulation results. Both the pen-type and the disc-type pressure measuring devices have a certain hindrance to the expansion process of shock wave flow field, but the hindrance of the pen-type is small.
