Real-time Visual UAV Flight Simulation System Based on ARM

In order to verify the flight model and control algorithm for UAV, based on ARM, an embedded visual flight simulation system combining embedded technology and visual simulation technology was designed. The 6-DOF (six degree of freedom) flight model and PID control model are simulated in embedded hardware to realize functions of real-time calculation and transmission of flight state data. The 3D visual flight simulation module was developed based on OpenGL (Open Graphic Library) and the multi-threaded technology with Windows custom messages processing technology to update the flight status dynamically. The experiment shows that this system has high reliability and effectivity and is applicable to the verification of flight model and control algorithm for a variety of aircraft models.
