Model Reference Adaptive Guidance Method for Laser Trajectory Correction Projectiles

Abstract

In real interception, an expected trajectory program should be set for laser trajectory correction projectiles first, and then correction commands are created and force the projectile to fly along the expected trajectory. In this paper, model reference adaptive (MRA) guidance method is presented to resist environment disturbance, and an adaptive algorithm based on terminal sliding mode theory is proposed to make actual line-of-sight (LOS) angle converge into a small region around the expected projectile-target LOS angle. Simulation results show that proposed guidance method can intercept target accurately and hold the superiority in measurement noise resistance.
