Virtual Endoscopy of Solid Rocket Motor Based on CUDA Volume Rendering

In order to take full advantage of CT volume data of solid rocket motor to observe the inner surface of the motor, virtual endoscopy of solid rocket motor was researched. The acceleration method of ray-casting volume rendering based on compute unified device architecture was researched. Automatic roam and manual navigation roam were chosen to guide the virtual endoscope, the result shows that the accelerated method based on compute unified device architecture can realize real-time rendering of large data, distance transformation can extract the center path of star hole, and the inner surface of grain can be observed by two roam methods.
