Impact of Rope on Ballistic Characteristics of Line Throwing Rocket

Rope dynamics problem of line throwing rocket system is very complicated. Finite segment method was used to model the rope in this paper, movement and force acting on rope were analyzed, the appropriate generalized coordinates were selected, and dynamic modeling of the line throwing rocket was developed according to Kane's method. With the dynamic model, impact of the rope on ballistic characteristics of the line throwing rocket was analyzed, the law of ballistic characteristics of the line throwing rocket such as range, speed, angle of trajectory impacting by line density and coefficient of air resistance of the rope were obtained, which provides a theoretical model and guidance for further research on disturbance of rope of line throwing rocket and guidance and control of it.
