Experimental Study of Grape-shot Damage Effect on Human Body

Abstract

In order to promote grape-shot of riot kinetic energy weapons to maintain orders effectively, it is necessary to carry out systematic and scientific research of grape-shot penetration effect. According to analysis of the mechanism on the basis of kinetic energy projectile target to human body, through establishment of grape-shot shooting platform, soap was used to simulate body organization, different pellet in different shooting distance on the end effect of the experiment. The research shows that within 10 effective meters, the effect of nonlethal of BB bullet is the most ideal. This research provides helps for scientific application and optimized improvements of riot of kinetic energy weapons and ammunition.
