Residual Stress-strain and Numerical Simulation of Deformation on Fiber Optic Cable Package Curing

There are great effect for storage transport and payingoff stability of fiber optic cable package that residual stress and deformation. According the residual stress and the deformation trend, a generalized Maxwell constitutive model is established on residual stress and curing strain. Based on ANSYS APDL, numerical simulation has been conducted for residual stress and deformation of fiber optic cable package curing process. The chang rule and diagram of residual stress-strain has been researched, the effect of technological parameter were analyzed according stress-strain. The results show that relatively larger strain present to bottom area nearby bobbin, the strain becomes larger gradually from the middle to both ends along the axial direction, and there are uneven residual stress within fiber optic cable package. Residual stress-strain becomes larger along with the growth of curing temperature and the layer number of twisting, the max deformation of fiber optic cable package becomes smaller along with the growth of the layer number of twisting.
