Study of a Performance Promote Concept Based on Pre-cooling Methodology for Ramjet

A performance promotion concept which adopts pulverization to pre-cool compressed air flow and increase working substance was presented to improve performance of ramjet in the paper, and a theoretical model was established to analyze this promotion concept. It is concluded that pre-cooling compressed air flow by means of pulverization can improve heating efficiency and thrust level, extend upper working limit of ramjet, but negative weight of pulverization added to ramjet can affect specific impulse; pre-cooling compressed air flow by means of pulverization has effective significance for ramjet in high-speed flight application.
