Autonomously Navigating Simulation System Based on Global Geomagnetic Anomaly Grid

In some scenarios there are no navigation satellite signals, moving platforms can use geomagnetic anomaly field to correct their inertial navigation error. An overall scheme of simulation system for geomagnetic inertial integrated navigation based on EMAG2, which released by NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information with a resolution of 2' is proposed. Themes as magnetic field continuation, geomagnetic magnitude synthetizing, system modeling and solving are analyzed. The simulation results show that the maximum position error can be controlled within 0.3~1.7 grids and the root mean square error can be controlled within 0.1~0.7 grids for different precision strap-down INS assisted with geomagnetic grid.
