Feasibility Analysis of Linear Discrete Rod Warhead by Numerical Simulation

Based on scattering law of circumferential and axial discrete rods, a so-called linear discrete rod warhead was proposed in this paper, which has advantages of high linear destruction density and large power radius. The warhead can produce almost linear fragment perforation on target in actual combat, similar to wire cutting. The design principle of this warhead and calculation formula of major parameter were given in this paper. Then validity and feasibility were proved by numerical simulation.
