Abstract

In this paper, LS-DYNA finite element software is used to simulate the dynamic cavity expansion process of reinforced concrete targets. For different reinforcement ratios, the relationship between the expansion pressure and the expansion velocity at the concrete cavity boundary, and the distribution of radial stress at a certain moment are obtained. Then the influences of reinforcement ratios on the dynamic cavity expansion process are investigated. It is found that the reinforcing bars effectively restrain the surrounding concrete, reduce the size of each region of the concrete, and decline the expansion speed of the concrete cavity boundary.
