Abstract

Navigation jamming, as a critical method in navigation warfare, has played a pivotal role in securing battlefield air superiority in modern warfare. As a major international flashpoint, the Russia-Ukraine conflict has witnessed continuous expansion of application scenarios and innovation in operational methods through navigation jamming technologies by both sides. Leveraging data from International GNSS Service (IGS) monitoring stations, this paper analyzes navigation warfare tactics employed by Russia and Ukraine in modern combat scenarios from the perspectives of jamming timing, locations, intensity, modes, and positioning performance. By evaluating the operational performance of satellite navigation systems during navigation warfare and integrating the concept of navigation warfare, the study assesses the availability of satellite navigation systems under such conditions. Research indicates that navigation warfare has evolved from single-frequency jamming to dynamic multi-system spectrum competition, with navigation andpositioning performance directly correlating with jamming modes. Space-based monitoring data demonstrates significant potential for enhancing battlefield situational awareness, offering crucial implications for addressing challenges in future intelligent warfare.
