Resolution Characteristic Analysis of Bistatic ISAR

Abstract

Space resolution is a key factor in bistatic ISAR system design. A general geometrical model of bistatic ISAR with moving target is established in this paper. The range resolution is given and the mathematic express of azimuth resolution is deduced in the sight of target Doppler characteristic. Lastly, the effects on azimuth resolution owing to the position and velocity vector of target are analyzed, and the consolution that bistatic ISAR have lareger imageing rate and no relation with target's vector. The results could further consummate bistatic ISAR theory system and provide theoretical basis for studying bistatic ISAR technology.
