Experimental Simulated Investigation on Armour-piercing Damage of High-speed Kinetic Energy Missile

Abstract

Based on similar law, simulated test system which was makeing up of 120 mm trajectory artillery and similar test projectile was built for studying armour-piercing damage of high-speed kinetic energy missile in this paper. The study shows that the missile's components are bad for armour-piercing damage performance when the missile hits armored target. It's important to pay attention to joint technique between armour-piercing rod and the missile's body when designing a high-speed kinetic energy missile.
