Matching Design and Experimental Research on the EFP Formation with Hemispherical Liner

Abstract

Numerical models of experimental device of explosive-formed projectile with hemispherical liner are set up, the characteristic of explosive-formed projectile and the process of its penetration the disconnected target are studyed by the finite element method. Liner structures are obatined by matching design between charge and structure, based on the detonation characteristics of RDX-PBX and HMX-PBX explosive. At the same time, several static experiments of explosive-formed projectile penetration disconnected target are carried out. The results show that the rationality of the method of matching design is demonstrated, the results of EFP formation with hemispherical liner charge structure optimization design has certain application value.
