Numerical Simulation of the Aerodynamic Characteristics of Normal Configuration Loitering Munition

Abstract

In order to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of normal configuration loitering munition, the three-dimensional model was established based on Pro/E, which was imported into Gambit to divide mesh, by using Fluent software, the aerodynamics characteristic was numerical calculated and the trajectory data was extracted. The flow field around projectile was studied under different Ma by numerical simulation, and the pressure distribution was obtained. The change rule of aeralynamic characteristics of lift, lift coefficient, resistance, resistance coefficient and overturn moment under different angle of attack and different Mach numbers were systematically analyzed. The results provided reference for the aerodynamic design of loitering munition
