Separation Impact Characteristics of Expansion Tube Separation Device

Abstract

In order to analyze shock source of expansion tube separation device in unlocking process due to structure vibration, the separation device was simulated in LS-DYNA. The results show that. The shock comes from the collision between expansion tube and separation frame and the vibration of separation board and the release of stress in the fracture process of separation board. The impact value attenuates by 50% at the structure interface. Due to coupling effect between stress wave attenuation and structure resonance, the impact value has no significant increase or decrease. Further analysis show that the two contributions to the structure vibration of the shock sources are respectively 55% and 45%.
