Numerical Simulation of Modeling of CEW Warhead

It was studied that the modeling of combined effects warhead (CEW) exploded by ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. The modeling of the ring smaller MEFP could be very well when the shell and a layer of explosive were added. The influence of the cartridge of the liner on the performance of the CEW was analyzed. The result indicates that when the cartridge of the liner in the center is 3mm, the EFP will be a speedy penetrator, which is dense in the center, with a big ratio of length and diameter. While the cartridge of the liner aronud is 2 mm, the mass of EFP is quite suitable, velocity is enough. The consequence of numerical simulation indicates that the liner has a suitable cartridge so that the velocity of EFP is high enough, the ratio of length and diameter is suitable, and its configuration is good for stable flight.
