Abstract

Warhead and rocket engine case of one domestic BB & Rocket long-range compounded projectile were designed as separated structure in its initial researching state and during strength test in shooting range, the threads connecting warhead with rocket engine case is damaged. In order to resolve the problem of threads damaging, through testing, theoretical calculation and analysis, the methods of adding hard steel shim and tightening moment were adopted, the technical problem was conquered. The failure analysis process and the resolving method can be as a guide for similar technical problems.
