Abstract

In view of low accuracy and speed of traditional detection method for geometric shape of cartridge, a comprehensive geometrical parameters detection system for cartridge was designed and developed. By optical triangulation method principle, this system measures cartridge shape parameters with laser ranging sensor, and adopts the servo motor driver detection arm movement to realize all kinds of general detection. The test system acquires test data and uses OPENGL tool to create 3d graphics of the measured, real-time detects defects of the measured for error analysis. Experimental results show that the method is with higher detection speed, test accuracy that can satisfy inspection needs of geometric parameters of the cartridge.
