Abstract

Time-delay estimation is a key parameter in passive acoustic positioning; whose accuracy directly affects the positioning accuracy. In this paper, focused on the basic theory of time delay estimation and the system design, the ROT H cross-correlation of pairs of collected sound signals was adopted. The results prove that the arithmetic can effectively extract the time delay values from complex acoustic signals.
