Continuous Rod Warhead Factors Affecting the Power of Numerical Analysis

Abstract

In order to study the main components of the continuous rod warhead affect the formation of the ring and the power of warhead, the paper has established the structure of a typical continuous rod warhead of three-dimensional finite element model; Tο analysis the effect of the material of waveform controller, the section size, the arrangement of rod, as well as material parameters of main charge, such as changes in the final throw of the continuous distribution by the finite element program LS-DYNA. The results show that using the waveform controller of phenolic resin, filling rods between the cracks, The main explosives with low detonation velocity, the cover of high strength materials,that can improve the integrity and continuity of the ring, It can be able to provide a reference design for such warheads.
