Penetration Probability Based Algorithm of Determining Homing Radar's Auto guidance Range

Penetrating and hit the target is the ultimate goal of anti-ship operation. According to radar equation and distribution errors of anti-missile by the end of auto-control, an algorithm of target detecting the incoming anti-ship missile was deduced, and a model of intercepting times was built on target detecting range. Then, the optimizing model of homing radar's auto-guidance range was built on the objective-function of anti-ship missile's penetration probability. The simulation shows that there is the optimum auto-guidance range for a given anti-ship missile as well as target, and it are found that the optimum auto-guidance range decreases with the increase of anti-ship missile speed.
