Abstract

Focused on the problem that terrain bounce jamming (TBJ) disturbs combat efficiency, based on basic principle of TBJ, the operation process of TBJ was analyzed and modeled, and the specular reflection and diffuse reflection models were obtained, and the correctional diffuse reflection model for rough surface was proposed. Then the relational model between radar tracking angle error and jamming-to-signal ratio (JSR) was acquired. The simulation results show that the JSR for sea surface is superior to dry sand surface with the same roughness degree, but for the same surface, the smaller the roughness degree is, the bigger the JSR is. We can use this model to measure combat efficiency for TBJ against air-to-air missile with monopulse radar seeker.
