The Design of Passive Vibration Isolation for Rocket with C-spring Isolators

To investigate the role of C-spring in rocket vibration, finite element method was used to establish the finite element model of rocket with C-spring isolator for the design of passive vibration isolation for rocket. Based on finite element method, the frequency responses of rocket with C-spring isolator was calculated. The vibration can be reduced obviously in the frequency range of 12~285 Hz. The effects of materials, the thickness, the width and the numbers on the passive vibration isolation were further studied in low frequency domain. The lower elastic modulus of material can be beneficial to the design of the C-spring isolator. In the condition of the same sizes, the decreases of the width, the thickness and the C-spring number can be beneficial to the passive vibration isolation.
