Aiming at the influence of grid density on penetrator forming, the effect of grid density on the penetrator (EFP, JPC) formation parameters such as velocity and length diameter ratio was obtained through LS-DYNA software and the X-ray imaging experimentation. The results show that when the grid size of the liner is 0.4~0.6 times of that of the charge, which is 0.024 times the charge caliber, the formation of penetrator can be good with the trail result.
