A Method of Battlefield Target Localization for Tank Element Based on Multi-feature Identification

At present, main battle tank generally acquires distance information of target by laser rangefinder. This method is easy to show our tactical intention to enemy. A method of battlefield target localization for tank element based on multi-feature identification was brought forward. This method effectively uses type position and gesture information of targets given by single tank of element, position of our tanks and information of line of sight of fire control system. It confirms identity of targets and calculates its distance by multi-feature fusion. The method is proved to be effective to locate targets by the experimental system and overcomes disadvantage of laser ranging. The method makes tank element can acquire the targets' location passively.
