Research on Terminal Guidance Radar Starting Distance and Angle of ASM Attacking Island Area Ship

Abstract

In order to improve the ability of capturing ship in coral islands or reefs area for radar homing head of ASM from tactical level, the position relationship mode of missile, target ship and islands were established based on the analysis of the necessary condition of radar seaker capturing ship in coral islands or reefs area. The distance and angle expressions of ship and island based on different radar homing head opening distance and angle were deduced. The expressions provide criterions for capturing or not under different conditions, and simulation analysis was carried out. This research provided foundation for optimization of ASMs attacking ships in coral islands or reefs area.
