Research of Relay Probing for Millimeter Wave Multi-hop D2D Networks

Abstract

For device to device (D2D) communication, reliable multihop relay probing packet (RMRP) is proposed in this paper. TheRMPR is used to construct the millimeter wave D2D routing. The forwarding probe packet is the basis of multihop routing between sourcenodes and destination nodes. First, the probability that MMW SNR is greater than the threshold is estimated by the signal intensity receivedfrom the forwarding node, and then the forwarding node is selected according to the probability to maximize the throughput of the path fromthe source node to the destination node. Simulation results show that the proposed RMRP strategy improves throughput and controls energyconsumption.
