Abstract

A self-adaptive subspace predictive controller with memory was designed based on variable forgetting factor for the problem of large calculated amount caused by updating Hankel matrices in traditional method. Because of different weight effect on the past and future Hankel matrices with the forgetting factor, a new updating form of the past and future Hankel matrices was designed by considering the different effect of variable forgetting factors at different sampling time, and the adaptive updating form of variable forgetting factor was designed on the distance value of actual output and predictive output. Finally, theoretical calculation and simulation examples showed that the algorithm has smaller calculated amount and better control performance.
