An Improved Design of Measurement System of Polar Moment of Inertia for Missiles

Abstract

In view of instable phenomenon of two-value-jumping and low accuracy by portal frame in the measurement system of polar momentof inertia, a kind of clamping-device-locking method and a way of improving the accuracy of measurement through real-time compensationof moment of inertia with damping-ratio by the algorithm of linear-damping-ratio were proposed. Experiment shows the improvedmeasurement system effectively overcomes the unstable phenomenon and improves the accuracy of measurement.
