Study on Ambiguous-area in 3D Beam-crossing Location of Aircraft on Ship Target

Based on principles and process of aircraft's location on ship target, 3D beam-crossing ambiguous-area was studied in this paper. Calculation error of ambiguous-area was analyzed, which is produced by simply 3D beam-crossing location to 2D beam-crossing location. Simulation results show that the calculation error increases significantly when the target is close to baseline and extended line. These results can be referred by operation and error analysis of airborne passive location sensor on ship target.
