Measurement and Control System Design of Thrust Calibration for Liquid Rocket Engine Test

Abstract

According to requirement for thrust calibration in liquid rocket engine test, the measurement and control system was designed. The standard force could be loaded and controlled automatically by the designed closed-loop controller of the electro-hydraulic servo system based on negative feedback proportional control principle, so high stability and precision standard force was provided for thrust calibration. The automatic or manual thrust calibration and the remote control of the calibration process could be realized by the designed measurement and control software based on Labview8. 6 and RS485 communication. The calibration results show that the manual and automatic thrust calibration with high accuracy, high efficiency and good reliability can be done by this measurement and control system and the requirements of the thrust calibration can be satisfied fully.
