Analysis of the Influence of Different Structure Parameters on Projectile Engraving

It is the most basic research on the internal trajectory to the projectile engraving, and it has a great influence on the accuracy of gun shooting. In order to understand the influence on the accuracy caliber rifle/projectile parameters on the process of projectile engraving, an analysis model is established based on the nonlinear finite element method. The effects of ammunition structure on the angle of projectile engraving are considered, and the laws of axial force and surface motion of the projectile are analyzed, qualitatively and quantitatively. This paper reveals the relationship between the different parameters of gun/projectile and the projectile engraving, which is helpful to further study the internal ballistic process of the rifle and the gun/projectile matching design.
