Study on the Influence of Projectile Nutation Force on Fuze Inertia Mechanism

In order to study the influence of the nutation force on the fuze inertial mechanism, the virtual prototype of projectile corresponding to different initial disturbances and whether there was eccentricity has been established, and the dynamic simulation analysis of the projectile has carried out. The transformation curve of the projectile nutation angle and the displacement curve of the fuze inertial mechanism were obtained. The simulation results showed that the nutation angle was influenced by the initial disturbance and eccentricity, the larger the nutation angle was, the greater the initial disturbance, the eccentric angle of the projectile would make the nutation angle become larger and the nutation angle was unable to converge, the nutation force and the nutation angle was into a quadratic function. And the larger nutation angle would affect the fuze trigger. The simulation data and changing rules can provide a reference for the design of fuze anti nutation capability.
